James: AC Grounding?
« on: 10 Aug 2012, 09:52 pm »
James,

We have moved and I set up my system in a room on the second floor. It turns out that the 3-pin AC receptacles are NOT grounded but are protected by a GFCI (ground-fault current interrupter). Do I risk harm to myself or the amp by using my 14B SST on this circuit?

I am looking into having a new grounded circuit installed, but I'd like music in the meantime.

THANKS.

Mike
