When I bought the XX2 I was already thinking of getting a new WTA so I expected the PL71 to be limiting.

Not aware of DV SUT.  Am planning to try Pure Audio phono stage but that is seriously expensive so it would need to be a huge step up from a p75  for me to actually consder purchasing.

What is the Pure Audio? I'm aware of Pure Sound, which is out of England via China.
The Dynavector SUP 200 is made by Dynavector Japan, not Dynavector Australia where the P75 comes from.
As with any stepup transformer, it goes into a mm or 47k load.  In your case you would put the P75 into its first setting, -the high output setting.  Of course it requires another set of cables.  I'm finding out, that however good the phono stage is, if it doesn't overload the gain the stepup is the way to go with a low output cartridge. 
Why do you think Vortrex is getting such great results with the A23 stepup and 103?

I just lowered the gain on my phono pre and now it's even better.  I would say I like the 103R/SUT combo better than the $1k Zephyr cart.  the bass is so much better and I'm hearing a lot of things I never heard before.  the Zephyr might be a little smoother, maybe the 103R will settle down a bit after some hours on it.

Lots of gain... Probably couldn't use the stepup I was mentioning with it.
