Bought some on sale two years ago and liked them somewhat... I purchased jh13pro at the time so gave my pair to my ex gf and sold one off here. The cable on the jh13pro is crap too btw. Probably not nearly as bad, I can't remember, but my sound cut out on my headphones because of my cable and had to be replaced. The jh13pro is far better but for $100 I think they're a good deal. The cheap hifiman stuff had terrible building quality last I checked, I don't know if it's improved. Aren't those dynamic vs balanced armature?

I really like mine and I'm glad I found some to try out, I have a few other pair that sound just as good in many ways and not as good in other ways-Etymotic, Sleek Audio and I recently found some higher end Sony's that were discontinued that I tend to grab most often when leaving my apartment to go for a good distance walk. Yes, I am an advocate for them, and no, I don't think audiocircle is a great place to discuss headphones - these aren't mutually exclusive.  Head-fi gets a LOT more traffic on the subject.  This is a fact.

Yes, you can buy the ALO cable costs $330.  This is not a unique phenomenon.  As with all of audio, you can spend as much as you want - the sky is the limit.  My cable uses, arguably, better wire and cost me $50.

Headfi is the place to go if you want a bunch of ignorant fanboys patting themselves on the back. AC is where you go for a healthy dose of truth administered by yours truly.

The one nice thing about discussing headphones here is that most AC members seek neutrality whereas that isn't always the goal on head-fi. Personal taste plays a huge role in their recommendations.

Who cares about the cable?  You can get an aftermarket (much better) one very easily.

Let me be frank, we as consumers need to be better than this. It is NEVER ok to sell shoddy products with poor build quality. You cannot excuse this because there are alternatives that's just plain wrong.

I love these iems...they're very popular on headfi.org and for good reason...they are great.

They are good enough that I can see people really liking them. If that's you great, they don't do anything wrong for sure and they are the best headphones I have heard in this price range if that means anything. Still to me they don't cut the mustard.

** Speaking of cable I'm gonna track down more info on the new replacement cable for these type of IEM's that Fiio just released within the past few weeks. When I get the info I'll post it here because if Fiio makes it the price might be a lot easier on the wallet. We shall see!!!

The cable's keeping me from just grabbing these guys to wear when I take walks or casually listen. If I'm able to remedy that issue with a decently priced replacement I'll most definitely try it.

Pez, Fiio is coming out with a tone of great stuff that is affordable, E17 is coming in a month, DAC+ Headphone amp, its only like $150 and is better then the E7. I've been talking with the editor of Headfonia who has one and the CEO apparently of Fiio and they have a tone of stuff in the pipes.......Fun

DOH! They don't have the inline mic for iPhone. Oh well.  Fiio makes the best cheap stuff I know of for this sort of thing that's for sure.

Pez I just ordered one myself (the replacement cable from Fiio) so hopefully they will make a difference, I really dislike the stock cord..yuck!

Any of you guys who have TF10's and want to replace the cord. I received the one I ordered from Fiio and its much better all around then the stock one. I took the ear pieces and flipped them to opposite side so I could wear them cord down. I never liked over the ear thing so now I have very serious IEM's-great cord!!

Do any of you have a pair of broken triplefi 10's(wires/connectors loose)  I will pay a nominal amount plus shipping.  Mine broke too , im going to use the parts and attempt a seemingly impossible repair.  PM me please if you have some.
