RIP Funk Brother Bob Babbitt

An incredible bass player passed away today. You may not recognize his name, but you've all heard his music. My personal favorite: His bass line on Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues". One of the best sounds I've ever heard.

RIP, didn't he replace James Jamerson?

Wiki says: "Babbitt traded off sessions with original Motown bassist James Jamerson."

"In all, he played on more than 200 top 40 hits"

During the race riots of the 60's they had to sneak Bob in and out of Motown so he didn't get killed  :duh:
