Modules Sold! Thanks!

For the DIY types, a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy some truly powerful self contained amplifier modules.

I have 7 independent amplifier modules from an Earthquake Sound Cineova Grande 7 amplifier. The story on these is that the folks with the brown trucks dropped the amp, and it weighed something like 130 lbs. The drop sheared the transformer mounting and the giant transformer went crashing into the power supply boards of the modules. The net result is it was scrapped and I purchased it with the thought of building some killer subwoofer amps or something cool but I've come to realize that is just never going to happen.

The amp modules will need new electrolytic caps but as far as I know are otherwise just fine. These are pretty cool modules, both single ended RCA and balanced XLR inputs, built in adjustable high and low pass filters and massive power.

Per the Earthquake Sound folks:
Quote
On power, it is rated to produce 300 WRMS into 8-ohms, 500 WRMS into 4Ω and a whopping 1000 WRMS into 2Ω - 5 or 7 channels. While these power rating are incredibly high, actual measurements showed 360 WRMS into 8Ω, 660 WRMS into 4Ω, and a 1000WRMS into 2-ohms. While power rating is what makes this amplifier the one to go to for home theater and music. The newly designed MATDRIVE allows it to idle with a mere 0.6 ampere. This is ten times less current than any other amplifier on the market.

The amp was $6k new but of course these are not new and will need caps. They have not been tested and are not guaranteed but from what I understood when I purchased the amp for parts it was working before big brown dropped it. I fully expect the modules will work just fine once they have some new caps and of course a suitable transformer. That is all that is needed to turn these into working amplifiers. I also have the schematics the kind folks at Earthquake provided.

$25.00 each plus actual shipping. They might fit in a large USPS flat rate box but I'd have to check and be sure. If so, a pair would ship for about $15.00 anywhere in the US. PayPal is OK but for this price, you pay the fee.
