Up for sale is a Threshold SA/3.  This is the late version with Optical Bias.  The unit has undergone an extensive refurbishment, and is ready for many more years of service.  The power supply caps were replaced with 68000uf units, new IXYS hexfred rectifiers, all new internal wiring, new RCA and binding posts, along with extra heavy duty rubber feet for extra insulation.  Unit was restored last year, and has seen limited use since then.

Unit is a 7 of 10 cosmetically, with a couple of scratches hear and there, but in good shape overall for the age.  I have three of these, and recently picked up a XA 30.5 as a replacement for this.  So, I'm selling this one for now.
Price is 900.00 for Audio Circle members.  Local pickup in MA is welcome, but will ship if buyer pays.  This is a bargin with all the new parts. The parts alone are several hundred dollars.  Most folks pay around 1K for this with no refurb work.

Almost forgot to mention:  The emitter resistors were changed out to non- inductive 1% types.  This improved the clarity and low level detail even further.
