Question about the Synergy Power Amplifiers
« on: 23 May 2012, 10:56 pm »
Do the new Synergy amplifiers "double down" in power?  For example, the new Synergy 450 is rated at 225 watts per channel at 8 ohms.  When presented with a 4 ohm load does the power double to 450 watts per channel?  Just curious.

The Synergy amps will essentially double power into 4 ohm loads, up to the maximum recommended 6 amp quick blow speaker fuses.

Using bigger fuses than this will blow your speakers first, saving you the cost of replacing fuses.
