I have one other company now interested in a shoot out. Does anyone one else have something interesting that they'd like to bring? I think I can put this together pretty easily if there is enough interest.
So, is this going to actually happen??????

A shoot out did not materialize.

Finally a chance to post some LSAF feedback...

We really had our equipment woes but did manage to get our system up and playing.

Our room was 14 feet wide and 36 feet long. So the speakers were about 15 feet out into the room. And with the room treatment and diffusers that we had in the room we were getting a very deep and well layered sound stage.

Bass response was really good as well. We had a pair of sealed box servo subs set up in the back of the room running out of phase from the Super-V's up front. This balanced out the room load real well in the lowest octaves. The were playing from 25Hz and down.

Some displays on one of the side walls.

The amp was something Gary had built for one of his customers. It was a little 30 watt stereo amp. We were using a Dodd Audio battery powered pre-amp with some new upgrades. The source was a Mac Mini system with various mods and a db Audio Labs DAC.

I brought a pair of N3's as well. We had them up and playing Saturday night and some Sunday morning.

Danny, I got  a chance to listen to these for quite a while at the LSAF on Saturaday.  They really sounded great, and drew me into the music like very few others at the show did.  I must say that they're among the best speakers I've heard and on par (or better) than the Linkwitz Orions (with rear mounted tweeters) which I spent some time with a few years ago.

You also turned me on to Flim & the BB's "Tricyle", which I had heard of, but never actually heard until that day.  Your speakers really drew me into the music and their since of depth was uncanny.  VERY well done Danny.  Kudos to you! :thumb:

Though it's been a while, I want to say thanks for the hard work and letting us hear those amazing speakers.  I came out to the hotel Saturday about 5pm.  Your room was the only one I visited.  I didn't feel the need to go anywhere else.  I wanted to see what the Super-V's sounded like before I start thinking too seriously about building a pair.  I guess if I had to describe how those speakers made me feel, it would be "breathtaking".  Literally.  I got that tight feeling in my chest that I haven't had in many years because the music was so realistic.  I felt like I did as a kid, when I would ride my bicycle to the stereo shop and hang out all afternoon, listening to the high-end equipment.  That isn't the most technical way of describing them, but I think you'll understand.

Yep, I do understand. And making guys like you feel that way is what makes going to shows like that worth it. Just plan old fun...
