I no longer am using this really sweet little cd player, so time to let somebody else have their turn.  This is the much talked about playstation 1 model schp-1001, and that has been modified by rhing.  This is the 3rd one of these I've owned, and significantly better than stock.  The unit comes with an IR remote and adaptor and the power cord.  No game controller inluded.  I don't know all what the modifications are, but I know they include black gate and wima caps, better rcas, mundorf silver/gold wire, and more, I'm sure.  Bottom line is that it sounds great.

Price is $90 o.b.o, and that includes shipping in lower 48 and I'll eat the PP fee.  Pic available, just can't postit for some reason.

Here is a list of the mods/parts used:

  Power supply caps: Wima MKP 1uF/250V;  AC line filtering cap, Nichicon CS;
primary and secondary stage filter caps, Panasonic FMs, Nichicon KT Audio or a combination
of both;  Output stage: 2x Black Gate N 4.7uF/50V caps, 2x PRP 22kohm precision metal
film resistors, and 0.5mm Mundorf Silver-Gold hook-up wire.

I actually am looking to get my 5501 modded if I can decide whom to do it. I find that RHING is hightly regarded and there is another CLEFCHEF whom also does these mods. However it seems that RHING  does more in the way of cap replacement. wher are you located? Im in northern wyoming.
