Bump. Also would like some feedback--is it price or lack of demand?

I think it's the local pick-up requirement. I have those speakers and that's a fair price.

Yeah if you were willing to ship someone would eventually snatch those right up. You go from a couple dozen potential buyers to thousands. Also try Audiogon.

Try posting your Maggies on Craigslist if you prefer a local sale.

Bought my 3.6s that way.

It might help if you mentioned where the local picked is....

I assumed it was Minneapolis, but good point.

As long as you are willing to ship, and willing to negotiate this cost into the deal, you will sell them in far less time.

It can get up there.
FedEx Ground or FedEx Int'l is what I use.
I think it was around $6-800 to ship my 1.6s to Norway from the US.
It might have been closer to $500, it's been a while.  They were they cheapest, though, with tracking and insurance.

If you have an account with FedEx and are shipping overseas, you can call FedEx's Great Rate line and get rates that are usually about 50% less....

It's really easy. Did you keep the boxes for all that? Estimate the weight, Fedex has a calculator. You can get a pretty close idea of what it will cost to ship. Find a zipcode far away from you (say Portland or LA), and you'll have an idea, rather than "I don't know, I'd rather have local pickup"

If you can provide an estimated weight you will help out a lot of potential buyers right there. Don't make the buyer work too hard.

Local pickup deals hardly ever sell.

It might help if you put your city/location in the thread title.

It was a very stressful and logistically challenging move. I thought I had responded to everyone who had PMd me--my bad.

So, are you still determined to not ship them?
