Mine are the Pioneer Stage 4 TS-C172PRS:

Simply an amazing speaker system that will improve almost any mobile audion system.

I have no doubt that in many instances, merely replacing the existing speakers from most factory systems with true high-end audiophile speakers will take you to the next level.

Thanks for the link.

We can spend endless days, years, searching for the holy grail in audio. With what you have supplied I think I could simply get the PRS Stage 4 system and know I had world class car audio, and I have not even heard it. Just my Spidy senses kicking in. So thanks for the heads up.

This is the front speaker setup I would want. Only problem is the stupid air bags companies are putting in the front pillar.

I would like to offer car audio one day but the install process can be intense. A lot to learn.

I've yet to find a pair of speakers marketed to car-fi that I prefer to the early 1990s Andrew Jones (now TAD/Pioneer) designed KEF KAR System 160Q's.

My favorite is Dynaudio.  In a more affordable set up the Infinity Kappa series was good, I haven't heard them in a couple years though.

Hybrid Audio Technoligies Legatia SE. Sound TI die for with a good source & amplification.

I'm currently running Hertz High Energy. Very nice also.

When I was in competition, I used some Kicker speakers with very large special crossover components as well as some Diamond speakers.  The Kickers always did better at competitions.   My personal favorites were CD Technologies....previously known as Cliff Designs.

Of the current stuff, the Hybrid Technologies line designed by Scott Buwalda are probably among the best out there along with Dynaudio and Focal.  Was a time when MB Quart was competitive, but not so much now.

I thought MB Quart went out of business some years ago.  If they are back I'd wonder who owns them now and how they compare to the original gear.

I am not familiar with Hertz, I will have to look into them.
