So I have been in love with my OB ... The wholeness of sound how lively it sound is amazing..

So I have 2 amps ...b&k ref 200.2 2 channel amp 200w  and a rotel rmb 1048 40 w 8 channel amp..

My bass is connected to b&k and tweeters and full range are connected to rotel ...

Just for fun sake I changed the connection and put  the bass on rotel and full range on B&K and the change was imminent more clear more focused...

that made me think in OB we have two main

1 Amps....i already saw the difference without issue .... for me i need atleast 4 channel amp and max of 6 channel

Just wanted to know what Amps so far people have used it and recommend the most...

2  active crossover for people like me who uses it.....which one other people have used i am behringer dcx 2496

Hey vv!  Glad to hear you are loving your OB. Is it a DIY speaker?

Check out current source amps for full range drivers:

http://www.firstwatt.com/pdf/art_cs_amps.pdf
http://www.passdiy.com/pdf/cs-amps-speakers.pdf
http://www.amazon.com/Current-Driving-Loudspeakers-Eliminating-Distortion-Interference/dp/1450544002

I built a stereo current source amp with LM3875 chips that makes 25W and sounds great on full range drivers, and it's cheap.

Tube amps are higher impedance, so they are more of a current source, so they often sound better on full range singe drivers, when the load impedance is pretty flattened with a zobel filter.

For a normal voltage source amp, I'm using a friend's Butler 5150 amp now, it is very sweet, 5 channel. There used to be a lot of them around used, but not so much anymore, but great if you can find one, and if you need that much power, 150wpc.

I have used a couple different active crossovers and heard a bunch more in other systems. I have a Behringer DCX with Jan Didden upgrade, Rane RPM26z, AudioLense running on the PC, foobar with crossover plugins. The Rane and DCX are easy to setup and tweek, but FIR filters in DEQX sound the best. The best I've heard are DEQX and Xilica XD. But they are kinda pricey...

Right now it seems amps have a big effect on output of the music and i can clearly see the value of a CLASS A amp for mids, highers bass  and maybe low highs...

i haven't taken any DIY project on electronics so kinda hesitant on that....but i need to soon pursue...

firstwatt heard a lot about them...kinda scared about heat thing as lot of kids run in the house...
