What AT cartridge is this?

Looking to find out what AT cart this is. No markings except the AT logo.

That looks like a Signet. A high end AT cart from the good old days.
Model: TK5E or TK3E, I think. Pretty nice from what I've read.

Oh, nice deck too.

Yes it does look like a Signet - wide body and circular indentations near the back of the stylus holder. But it's an AT counterpart (?) Signet carts didn't have AT on the front. They were marketed as a separate line. If you remove it from the headshell, it should have the model # printed on top of the cart.

Thank you much for the info guys I can search for info again. Yes it does have the AT logo on the front but I am hesitant to take if off. If I do it will be my first cart alinement.

Now, what to do with it? This is the $80 Craigslist table that I picked up and have been pretty happy with it.
New cart? (what price range should I consider to equal or better this cart)
Retip?
Keep? (how do I tell if it needs re-tipping)

Or maybe a longhorn Grado from Frank Van Alstine.

That table is excellent and the cartridge is too.

It's a little dicey to risk your record collection with a stylus of unknown condition.

Hey John, thanks for the info on a new needle. That may be the ticket.
Probably saw you at AKfest but didn't know who you were.
I am going to take a looksee at the top of the cart shell tonight after a few more records.
Ordering a scale tonight.
