This is a gorgeous, TOTL beast of a table, kitted with the best gee-whiz gadgetry that JVC could offer before digital killed the analog star: quartz lock, magnetic bearing, electromagnetically damped tonearm with front-panel controls (!) and adjustable VTA, huge 13" platter, glossy (faux) rosewood trim, and cold-fusion power supply....okay, not sure about the last one--maybe I just read that somewhere
In any case, this was my daily driver table for the last year and a half or so, and I probably would be keeping it were it not for the Mitsubishi LT-30 taking its place in the bells and whistles direct drive category.
Cosmetics are great, except the dust cover has some scratches from where the cat used it as a landing pad. I will rub some Novus on it and get some pics up.
The plinth has been stuffed with about 8 pounds of Plast-i-clay, and the particle board plinth bottom has been sprayed with rubber insulation to take care of the notorious resonance that besmirched this otherwise stellar machine.
The previous owner machined a set of snazzy round aluminum covers for the original but sort of plain feet. They're not visible in the pics however because i am currently using Herbies Tenderfeet, as a well as a Herbies Way Excellent Mat II. I do have the original feet, with covers, and the original mat, which will be included along with the TTWeights record weight.
Table comes with the original manual and the straight tonearm pictured. No cart included.
Local pickup is greatly preferable. This thing is pushing 40 pounds.
