Hello all.  I've just completed the flatpack build of Peter Rawlings's MDF CNC kit.  He does excellent work.  I veneered with Mahogany.  The Speaker Boxes are now ready to finish and add the Encore kit.  I upgraded the base kit to include tube connectors, Sonic Caps and Copper Caps.  Cant' wait to hear them sing.  Wish me luck with the corssover network.  I"ll sure need it as I've never soldered before.  Will keep folks posted if interested.

I don’t know how much difference it might make but I put a layer of veneer in the tweeter cut out to raise it to the same level. The countersink was pretty specific on the plans and adding 20 mil to that just seemed like it would change the design.

I really admire the smooth veneer over the radius, that’s a really good look. What kind of mahogany? I’m in the middle of finishing quarter sawn and it looks quite different.

Very nice looking veneer.  Yesterday I finished some boxes (veneer still needs a clear finish) with the radiused edges and grain in opposite direction from yours, trying to mimic the q acoustics style.  I like your design and grain selection better. Plus painting baffles and transitioning them cleanly into the veneered cabinets can be challenging.
