Iphone 4S question?
« on: 27 Mar 2012, 09:30 am »
Is their a way to delete your pictures from your Iphone without manually deleting them one by one? Itunes doesn't have an uncheck box to automatically removed them or am I wrong?

I'm not doing something right and I have too many gigs of pics which eating up space.

"I'm sorry Dave,  I can't let you do that"

If you want to delete ALL the photos, just go to the photos section in iTunes and uncheck "sync photos".  iTunes will then ask if you want to delete the photos from your device.  Answer "yes" and hit apply.  They will be gone.

Selective deletion is also done from iTunes, but you have to run down the list and check the ones you want to KEEP, then do the above, except leave "sync photos" checked.  It will delete all the ones not checked.

If you are referring to photos taken by the iPhone in the Camera Roll album and not synched folders from the computer in iTunes, then there is an easier way to delete multiple photos than by deleting each one individually.

There is no Delete All, but you can go into Photos, select the Camera Roll album, touch the arrow on the lower left corner, then select multiple photos by touching (and checkmarking) each photo to be deleted and then selecting Delete and then confirm Delete Selected Photos.

Make sure you have the latest iOS5.1 ... order versions of photo stream lacked the delete option...     Also make sure you review Photos options in the settings apps.
