This may be the finest "inexpensive" floorstanding loudspeaker ever designed. Among the few companies that have had the wisdom to design truly time-coherent loudspeakers (Vandersteen, Thiel, Green Mountain, Dunlavy and Meadowlark), only Meadowlark released an inexpensive, simple, yet high quality two-way design.
Meadowlark endowed the Kestrel 2 with a Peerless composite cone woofer, a Vifa ring radiator silk dome tweeter and a unique transmission line loading scheme that yields an extremely inert enclosure while simultaneously allowing the speaker to play deeper bass and avoid a ported enclosure's phase issues and lack of control. The Kestrel 2's crossover uses only a few very high quality parts, wired point to point with Tara Lab cable and top quality silver solder.

This particular pair of Kestrel 2's was purchased by me from a dealer as a NOS pair and are finished in an upgraded, gorgeously stained Santos Mahogany hardwood. They are in "as new" condition and you will not find a nicer pair anywhere. (Less than 250 hrs) They are immaculate. My poor picture taking skills don't do this finish justice.
They will arrive packed securely in their original shipping boxes complete with their grilles, adjustable spikes and owner's guide.
