Here is the link to my post on the what LPs have you listened to lately thread  http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=1500.msg932968#msg932968

The pressing is quiet with lots of clarity, detail and separation of the instruments. Sounds very natural and "in the room." I've never heard the album sound this good.

45 RPM Rumors
Television live: I have the CD and it sounds like there are four people in the venue. The playing is inspired.

Haven't listened to them yet.

I spent 6 hours volunteering at 4000 Holes today. I brought my VPI 17 and cleaned records for folks who bought at least one new record. There was a line a block long to get in when he opened. Live music and the best single sales day in over 4 years. It was really tough to get all of the inventory he wanted. He ordered 8 copies of the 45 rpm of Rumours and got one. Mine is on back order. I bought the new Shawn Mullins album and Bob gave me the Kings of Leon and let me pick out some used albums for helping out.

That's the spirit! Nice of you to volunteer.

My family and I hit three stores around town. We mingled with the crowds, saw some live music in two of the stores, had a nice lunch out and made a day of it. My wife won a drawing for a bunch of free CDs and other promotional record store "stuff" . One of the give-aways was this album wrapped up in this T-shirt :

Just bumping this thread for Record Store Day 2012 on April 21.

More info here http://www.recordstoreday.com/Home

There is a very nice pdf download of all the releases, quantities, etc. and the resource listing all the local stores and their websites is awesome for those of us that travel a bit.

The title of this year old thread scared me! I have no plans of going to my nearest "real" record store tomorrow...it's 100 miles from my home!! Thank goodness it's three weeks away.

This is an important day at the Biz household and deserves it's own 2012 thread.

It caught me by surprise too Paul. If no one starts a new thread by this afternoon,I will when I get home.

Oops, sorry about that guys! I changed my post title but obviously the thread title doesn't. I just didn't want to litter too much.
