FS: Yamaha YP-800 turntable, SoCal 90049

I know that some on this board will disagree,  but I really don't need 10 turntables, especially as I'm planning a move in the next few months.

So with that in mind, I'm thinning the herd. Local SoCal pickup is preferred, but I will ship if there's interest.

This Yamaha YP-800 is a heavy direct drive unit from the mid-1970s. I believe the original sales price was $500, which works out to something like $1400 in today's dollars. It has a nice, removable tonearm with adjustable VTA and integrated bubble level. Cosmetics are good, but there is a small chip in the plinth on the right-front side. Minor scratches on the dustcover. The other notable issue is some discoloration on the aluminum top plate where the corners of the dustcover would rest. Someone with greater knowledge than I could perhaps polish this out. I have the original manual, extra counterweight, and miscellaneous screwdrivers and bits. Includes a cheap stanton cartridge.

$200 + shipping.
