Up for sale is an absolutely mint Rogue Atlas Magnum amplifier. My intention was to upgrade my speakers at the cost of downsizing my amplification (VAC Phi Beta 110i). After using the Rogue with three different preamps, including the VAC’s preamp section, I concluded that 1) the Atlas Magnum is outstanding value for money, and 2) it’s still not quite as good as the VAC…no surprise given that the 110i’s last list price was $22K. My financial circumstances changed a bit, and I find that I am able to keep the VAC if I sell every extraneous piece of gear that I own.
This is the 3rd piece of Rogue gear that I’ve owned over the years, and in many ways impresses me the most of the three. This is serious amplification with all the fine attributes of tubes with little of the downside. How Rogue manages to pack in the goodies and still build in the US for this money is an absolute mystery to me. So, if you’re looking for a mint tube power amp at a significant discount off of list, this is your baby. I prefer Paypal and will split the fee (i.e. you pay 1.5%) with the buyer.
