It p*$$*s me off that Ford has been building Fiesta's like this for years and happily selling detuned versions to the European's while saddling the US with the crap small cars they sell here.  All the while Subaru and Mitsubishi have been selling cars that couldn't stand up to the European Fiesta's like hotcakes here on our shores.  C'mon Ford - get your s**t together.  They are finally bringing the same Fiesta they sell the world over to the US - now bring us the really hot hatches.

Martin

I rented a brand new Fiesta in Marbella Spain in 1989. Gas in Spain was in the $3.00/gal range back then, and was regular not unleaded. We got well over 30mpg tooling around the countryside and up and down the coast. Now I'm not sure of the safety and emmisions for a vehicle back then, but Ford DID know how to make a very fuel efficient car over 20 years ago!  :x
All of this hype lately about the BIG 3 comming to the table with better designed fuel efficient cars is BS!
They stuck it to us and now expect us to trust them again?
FAT CHANCE!
OK rant over...now back to your regularly programmed....
