I would think so as the tubes are in the preamp section but since info on this integrated seems to be almost non-existant i have not been able to find the answer...

I don't know but expect it is self-biasing.  Why not e-mail Jolida and ask?

If you mean this model, going by the text it's manual: http://www.jolida.com/product/tubeamp/jd502brc  What's MSRP for that little puppy?  Self or auto bias has no need for "bias test terminal" or "bias adjustment control."

Top panel bias testing terminal with bias adjustment controls plus EZ-biasing.

I would love to hear the power amp version of that integrated: http://www.jolida.com/product/powerpre/jd502p  For their unique market position you'd think there'd be tons of user reports for these amps.  There is, but all the reports I found were for ancient vintages.  Jolida changes/updates their line frequently, not reflected in the nomenclature, diminishing value in older model reports if not making them totally misleading.  Current models seem to have a lot of modern upgrades.

For all the fifty or so Jolida user reports I read, maybe two strong negatives for reliability.  But they were for 90s era.  I believe QC is dramatically improved since then.  The rest of the users either raved or liked them a lot.

My friend's Jolida Music Envoy mono blocs sounded great.

IIRC the smaller EL EIGHTY four integrated costs only peanuts, about $870.

Burn your mobile minutes!  I called Jolida today and they answered (asked about their RMAF gear).  :thumb:

OK, sorry.

I think he has this model:  http://www.jolida.com/product/hybrid/jd1501brc  There is no mention of biasing at all on the information page.  My only Jolida is self-biasing (and also doesn't mention biasing on the info page).

The phone call is a great idea! Good guys there....

I don't have much constructive to add, other than I've got a JD202 and it's been a tank. I love it.

Yeah, a phone call is better but am having throat issues and the doc wants me to talk as little as possible.  Error on my part, its the JD-1501RC, not the 1502RC...sorry :duh:

I found >> THIS <<.
Go about halfway down the page in the section called "Inside Story".
There, he makes the comment about it not needing to be biased.

Take it with a grain of salt since I found the information on the internet in a forum.

The output power section is solid state, therefore no need to set bias.

Here is a neat bias discussion from AC (2008):
