Nuforce P-18 I/O
« on: 30 Jul 2010, 03:14 pm »
Hi,

I noticed that the P-18 has been given a tentative October release and I'm very interested in pairing it with my 9v3 SEs. Will the preamp have balanced I/O? My sources are balanced (even phono) and I'd be interested in maintaining that due to the severe RF and EMI problems in my neighborhood. Also, will it have an HT bypass?

Thanks,

Jason

Do you have any info about that? I would have thought the P-9 would be balanced but that isn't the case.

If someone from Nuforce could comment yes or no that would be great.

P18 will provide XLR input and output,  but the circuit is not fully-balanced.

Is there going to be still a by-pass option like on the P9 and is that going to be RCA?

Still trying to find the best of both world for AV applications and stereo high quality listening.

Thanks.

Bernard

Any news on P-18? It was shown in Munich last year, but not heard of since. Would be great to have Ref-18 accompanied by a pre-amp of similar standing!

P18 is renamed as P20 and going into production, some early units arrived pr will arrive in distributor's hand at this moment.

Unlike P9, P18 doesn't really need a 'bypass function' because every input has individual volume levels so you can dedicate any input to be a bypassed just by setting the volume level accordingly.
