I thought it would be good to have a thread where we can post about new items that have come out or are coming out soon so we can be aware of new stuff that may be a great fit for us now or in the near future.
I think if we start out with a name, any pricing info and brief description it will be easy for all of us to pick and read about gear that is of interest to us.
I enjoy buying gear thats built well and sounds just as good or better than the cost suggests but I know there are more than a few folks here who wouldn't feel comfortable with budget gear and thats fine let just not waste everybodies time waiting for the punchline, lets get that part right out on the table. Sound Good ?

****EDIT UPDATE*** Just released retail will be $829
ibasso has Digital Audio Player coming soon, No cost yet.                           (not yelling-can't read small type)
The thing about this one that has a ton of folks salivating is that they are using a ES9018 Sabre DAC chip.
Here is some copy taken from their press release and posted by ibasso rep on head-fi.

"The DX100 is our reference Digital Audio Player (DAP). It can play most of the 24Bit/192kHz Lossless music. The whole design is based on the ES9018, which ESS claim as "The World's Best DAC Chip". We are finalizing the DX100 now. We can release it within 20~45 days.
The following are some main features. We will release more information later this month.
Support up to 24/192 Decoding
ES9018 DAC Chip
Built-in +/-8.5V Headphone AMP
Up to 24/192-USB/Optical/Coaxial-Inputs
256-Steps Digital Volume Control
64G Onboard Flash
Support up to 32G External MicroSD
3-Setting Gain Switch
SRC Function
Slow Roll-off/ Sharp Roll-off Digital Filter"

Shortly after I read that I went to the website to find this (typos included):

I think this piece looks great and according to info I received from ibasso when emailing them- it may be released very shortly and when I guessed at $1000 price saying that was my budget they quickly noted they felt it woule well below my budget. Thats the best news...but with 64GB onboard Flash Mem, Sabre Chip, Connectivity options etc...if it is under 1K I will truly be shocked, even $999.99 would shock me..........I really hope I am dead wrong!!!

Sonomax DIY IEMs - http://sculptedeers.com/

Good idea, but i can't find much information on the sound quality

I've noticed these new Cardas IEM Ear Mirror / Ear Speakers mentioned over the past few months.

This is a cut/paste post from an inquiry I made over a Head-fi.  Response from Andy Regan.  Expected to start shipping in March.

Hi All,

Andy Regan from Cardas here. For those of you that came to CES you had the opportunity to hear the Cardas EM 5813 Ear Speakers. We will be releasing full info the end of this week and will post it all on our page on Head-fi. Jude also did a full interview with George at the show along with pictures and video which I am sure he will post soon.

The EM5813's were designed from the ground up by George Cardas and the "Ear Mirror" designation stems from the fact that they "mirror" the human hearing system from the driver size, to the curves of the ear piece matching the Cochlea which is a perfect Golden Ratio.

The EM 5813's will come in two models:

Model 1: Is in a Black Chrome finish and will sell for approx $324.00 Retail

Model 2: Is in a Copper Finish and will sell for approx $424.00 Retail

The difference between the models is more then finish, they have different drivers in them and have very different  sonic characteristics and efficiencies. The reaction at CES was very positive and we look forward to hearing your (the headfi community) opinions.

Look for information this week on our page and thanks for all your interest

Maybe it's already been discussed here at AC.  My apologies if it has.

The Objective2 (O2) headphone amp looks interesting.  The designer created it to be a diy project involving $40 worth of parts that will compete against commercial HP amps costing much more.  He's made his design open source allowing manufactures to use his design.

O2 Details

Has anybody over here tried this amp?

**Edit*** this is update to post 667 ****

They produced 40 units for that $699 and are making it so if you buy one they expect a written review about it, in otherwords they are making reviewers buy the first 40 (Which were sold out immediately) and then the next run is when they start in ernest and the $829 is the price......I have been trading emails with ibasso for months about this and suddenly they stopped responding a few days back and at like 1am my time (East Coast USA) emails went out to people saying  ..." they just released it and it can be ordered now".  I never saw that until 6am when I woke up and they were gone.

The folks are already thinking the Battery life is bad and other concerns....we'll see

I suppose that, if it's real good, $829 for an all in one unit might be worth it.  Otherwise, .

Has anybody here heard Woo Audio's new transport/DAC combo?
http://www.wooaudio.com/
He always makes real good sounding gear so I suspect that the reviews are accurate.
The looks make me think of the outside of an Italian restaurant.
