I got a new/old DAC coming in today and it takes the tubes mentioned in this post on the manufacturers website, are these all the same size but just different number/letter combo's???

 Any of the mentioned sizes here send up "the you gotta try the ......" Flag ?????  Here is the info, I'm like really dumb on tubes and you guys always steer me right.

Gold-ceramic tube sockets are located on top for easy tube changes. You can try different E80CC, 12BH7A or 12AU7A tubes to see what type you like best in your system - the supplied select matched EH 12BH7A tubes are quite good, most start with these and order E80CC's later.

If you bought the TDAC that was posted in the AC classifieds, you got a deal and a half! I have one with the E80CCs and it is very, very good.

The E80CCs are taller than the rest by about 3/4 of an inch. 12AU7s and 12BH7s are about 2 inches tall not including the pins.

So all those letters and numbers are size info from different countries Im guessing??
So the tubes you mentioned are good? I think a couple are coming with it, I'll check them out . So any recommendations?

Those letters and numbers designate the type of tube.

Yes, those E80CCs are good. If it comes with any of the 12BH7s or 12AU7s, you can swap them out and listen to the difference. Leave the ones in that you like the best.

I got the stock ones and the E80CC's which are in now and you were right a silly good deal....this thing is wonderful>>> Thanks Zepp!!!!!
