No experience but it looks interesting.  I would have like to have seen another set of outputs for the main channels (perhaps balanced) so for those of us with a 2-channel preamp with HT bypass it can be connected to both the 2-channel preamp and the pre/pro in multi-channel

My Antelope Gold DAC does 32/384K, as does the M2Tech Young and the MSB DACs.

No, DSD is better.    (Sorry, flame wars.)  DSD is nothing like PCM.  DSD is 1 bit at 2.8Mhz (or ocassionally 5.6Mhz).  Although 32/384 is very nice for PCM, you haven't heard piano until you've heard DSD recorded piano.  My new DAC, the Mytek, does native DSD (but this is for another thread, which I will start soon).

Yes, You can use Buf II/III and EXAU21 USB I2S. You can have both but need a switch between DSD and 32/384.

Mytek DSD 8 channel DAC, and does FireWire.

Nice, but I also need a Dac that I can power off D/C, that why even though the Buffalo is DYI, it fits all the requirements. Don't know if its the hobby or old age that makes me so picky javascript:void(0);

I think you can use Mac, you can check EXADevice forum to make sure. Buf III is eight channel so as the EXAU21.
