Selling my Dynaudio Aries speakers which I have owned and taken care of for the last 15 years. These were offered by Madisound as a kit when Dynaudio offered kits for sale. These speakers featured 2 of the latest state of the art Dynaudio drivers at the time. They were the Esotec D-260 tweeter and the 7 1/2" Esotec 20 W-75 woofer and together they were $600 alone. This pair was built by a wealthy speaker building hobbyist and then purchased by me. The sound is very transparent, neutral with suprisingly deep bass(30 HZ) and will perfectly reveal the sound of all components from inexpensive to Stereophile Class A. Asking $850 + shipping.
You can see a few small scratches/anomalies in the photos. Even so, they look quite stunning and have worked perfectly their whole life. There is a hole underneath each speaker to add lead shot. The original builder strongly recommended doing this though I never did it. Spikes are also included. The builder used a zoebel network and told me to never bi-amp with these speakers as it could damage them. I pass the same advice onto the next owner. I also have the original boxes(2).
