using the two lines...
« on: 12 Dec 2011, 09:02 pm »
hi, folks!

i never really cared about it and it might be a dump question...but how do i have to write the files that they appear on the upper AND the lower line of the BDP-1's display :scratch:

for example: Motörhead - Ace of Spades (that's how i got it now)

                   Motörhead
                   Ace of Spades (that's how i'd like to have it)

thanks,

al.

al,

I have my Folders as follows:  Band - Album Name - Track Names.  And they appear as you wish.

ok, Kyri. thanks.

in your case then BDP shows as an example:

Motörhead - Iron Fist
Ace Of Spades

is this correct, Kyri? if yes, what is the big secret that your BDP puts the name of the album automatically into the lower line??? :scratch:

thanks again,

al.

Hey al,

Ok, you'll need to bare with me: I'm not in front of my BDP-1 at the moment.
I'm pretty certain, though, that it is the Artist name & the Track Name that you need to focus on.
For example, I have AC/DC, then Highway to Hell, then the Track Name.
So it displays as follows;

Track Name
AC/DC

If you save your folder with the Album alongside the Track Name, then it should come up as;

Album - Track Name
Artist

Al,

I've just taken another look at this.  I'm listening to Lenny Kravitz's album - Black & White America.  And the track is Looking back on love.
My BDP-1 displays things as follows;

Looking back on love
Lenny Kravitz

The Album isn't actually displayed.  Looking at my folders they are Lenny Kravitz - Black & White America - then the Tracks.  But these are listed as Track Name/Lenny Kravitz.
So I think the BDP-1 is actually taking all of its information from the Track Name Folder only.
I hope I haven't confused you further Al!
