The Upgrade Company claims that their upgraded Ref9V3SE will beat stock Ref 18. I would like to hear from Nuforce owners that have upgraded their Ref 9 or 18 and what their experience is with Upgrade Company and what the resulting sound improvement is or is not. Also would like to hear Jason's comments on this. I also am concerned with warrentee, interfering with future upgrades from Nuforce and I hear that the Upgrade Company seals the unit and if broken their 5 year warrentee is voided so that it is hard to look inside and see what they have done

We do not endorse any third party upgrade and any work done will violate our warranty.
If it breaks, you have to buy the replacement parts at full retail parts price.

They should be able to fix it if it has any problems.  The upgrade uses better parts will that make it sound better not always the case.  The do more isolation as well.  I would really like to hear one to see how much better it is.  It may be worst.

I had the Upgrade Company modify a $1000.00 CD player. The work was very poor, and they would not give a refund, not even a partial refund. Their "Satisfaction Guarantee" turned out for me, to be an advertisement only. Their claims of "State of the Art" is simply not genuine, because they don't design and manufacture Audio art.

This is not to say they cannot improve the sound of equipment by modification, and better parts. But from my experience and what I have heard from a few others, I would not trust them or pay high prices for their services.

Worth noting, NO disclosures are given as to what  proprietary mods  are performed, and if the lids or covers are removed (breaking their seal) they are VOID, nice
