BDP-1 and Metric Halo LIO-8 sync issues

I am having problems getting the LIO-8 to sync to the external AES clock from the BDA-1.   It is more of an issue with > 44.1k ALAC than AIFF and FLAC.   I am still trying various things to get a clearer idea on what is going on.

Anyone with advice on this combination?

Anyone have any advise on this? 

I also have an LIO-8, and would need to know this is not an issue before I could consider buying a BDP-1.
