External Ripping Drive

I was browsing and came across this post by DB Power Amp about external drives.

Does anyone use these drives with their Mac?  If so, do they work without any issues?

Man, that link provides for some very interesting reading.
The drive in my laptop is middle of the road. I'll check the drive in the Mac Mini later.

Oh no.  I'm sorry.  I guess what I meant to say was that I need an external and these are the recommended drives.  Most appear to be internal or used for a tower but that's no big deal as you can purchase a case and use as an external.
