The subject line is basically my post.  I have the Jolida 302B, Basis 2001/Rega 900 and am looking for speakers in the less than $2000 range.  I stumbled over a review of the Songtowers and they seem to be a wonderful speaker, well made and probably well suited for my amp.  I noted a reviewer who auditioned them with a modded 502B.  I listen to all kinds of music, mostly alternative rock (DMB, Decemberists, Bright Eyes), jazz vocalists, bluegrass, and a little bit of everything else besides rap and country.  I appreciate any insights on this post or other recommendations.  Thank you.

Personally, I like the 302B with the SongTowers better than the 502B.  The 302B is essentially the same amp with different resistors in the the bias circuit to customize the amp for EL34's.  I think the EL34's are simply a more musical tube over all.  It is a very good combination if you like tubes.

I was using the EL34 based 202A with my ST's originally and the sound was very nice.
