BDP as Replacement for Bluesound Node (N130)
« on: 29 Oct 2021, 11:53 am »
Currently I have a fairly nice Naim system and I'm waiting for a new Bryston BDC-3 player that will be incorporated.  First, thank you Bryston for still making a very nice CD player/transport at a reasonable price.  I love my CDs as much as some people love their vinyl so having access to a quality CD player/transport is terrific.  I do also have a NAS loaded with many of the CDs but just like the process and sound of the CD itself sometimes.

Now my question.  I want to replace my Bluesound Node (N130) with a more capable streaming transport.  The Node feeds a Denafrips DDC and then a Denafrips Pontus II.  I love the sound but I feel I may be missing some detail with the Node.  I know the BDP is an excellent product but I'm fairly spoiled by the simple and reliable Bluesound interface to Qobuz , Tidal and the integration with Spotify connect.  Can anyone comment on the software used with the BDP as compares to Bluesound?  I am sold on the capabilities and build of the BDP but it's harder to find reliable information as applies to the software interface.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
