Mye stands and Maggie 1.7
« on: 3 Nov 2011, 11:09 pm »
Put on a pair of Mye Stands last night and gave them a thorough workout today--all I can say is WOW.

My Maggies are like a whole level above what I thought Maggies are about. Tighter bass and mid-range in spades. Can't believe the difference the Mye stands make for this already wonderful instrument. Magnepan really ought to think about selling these things as an option or upgrade.

Congrats!  :thumb:

Should just be standard, they have known about this for many many years. I had such with 20's I owned over 15 years ago.

Magnepan has shown a decided disinterest in making any different stands for their speakers - trust me, I tried as have countless others.
Glad to hear that they worked out well with the 1.7s.
I did have some monster stands welded up for the 3.6s and they worked really well with them; they were less successful with the 3.7s as it gave me exaggerated bass so it's back to the little feet.
