Greetings  BDP-1 owners.  How are you organizing your music files across the drives (thumb or USB) you are using with your BDP-1?

One big drive
Then artist then album ie all albums, each in it's own folder, in the same artist folder.

I organize the large drive using the dBpoweramp default path:

Library\Music\Artist\Album

If you have any compilation albums, it will drop them in a Various Artists folder.

Each of my thumb drives are a different genre, and contain a compilation of favorite tracks.

I don't do much to organize my music. I rip my CDs and transfer them to my 1.5 TB HD by album. mPad let's me find what I want to hear by artist, album, genre and song so that anymore additional organizing seems to be superfluous for my use, which for the most part consists of playlists. Except for the Bryston hi rez samples, I don't use thumb drives.

Hi

I am currently listening to my music via 6 flashdrives connected into a powered USB hub plugged into a front BDP-1 port. I just do a copy and paste from cd to hard drive. Each cd stays in 'wav' and then gets its own folder with folder and album art which I insert by using 'tag and rename'. Each track is also renamed as doing a simple copy and paste does not show song or album names. To use the internet in this country - South Africa - would take too long (and would be ridiculously costly) to use as a tool to do this for me - so it's done manually. Might put all folders / albums from one artist into one folder later.  Once I have finished the entire copying process all cds go onto a 2T external hard drive. For me this has been a work in progress so I will adjust things to suit me as time goes.

Ah yes. Speaking of hard drives. I really do look forward to a Bryston hard drive enclosure.
