Notable Fall 2012 Releases

Tom Waits has a new one coming out which sounds pretty good and Hot Tuna just released their first album in 20 years.
I caught part of a Hot Tuna live acoustic set on the radio last night and they sounded great.

How are we supposed to know what releases there will be in the fall of next year?  :D

Now, the Fall of 2011, that's a different story...

Tribal Tech - not sure of the tittle, but I'm sure it will be a killer.

Aristocrats - Guthrie Govan (guitar), Brian Beller (bass), Marco Minnemann (drums). World class fusion.

Opeth - The Devil's Orchard. Incredible progressive release.

Dream Theater - A Drmatic Turn of Events. They seem to be in a rut the last few releases, maybe their new drummer will help break them out of it.

Panzerpappa - sometime before the end of 2011. A very unique avant-garde progressive band.

The Tangent - COMM. Late September. Very good, traditional prog rock.

Thinking Plague - Decline and Fall. One of the best avant-garde prog bands!

I for one am looking forward to most if not all of these especially the Aristrocats and The Tangent

As to the title of this thread, the 2012 got me to look

Reference Recordings has two new LPs coming out. Mastered by Paul Stubblebine, manfactured by Chad Cassem's Quality Record Pressings in AZ on 200g vinyl.  The first two titles are the popular Dick Hyman and Stravinsky recordings.

More reasons to live until at least the end of October no matter what: new Steven Wilson solo, new Peter Gabriel, new Mastodon...

If you "like" Porcupine Tree on Facebook you'll get lot's of really cool updates on what the various band members are doing. Gavin has some amazing drum solo work posted on there. Steven has already posted two videos from his new album. Thanks to Facebook I've been able to see them the day they were posted.

Personally, I'm very excited about the new M83 album. I heard a clip on Metacritic the other day and thought it was outstanding.
