It's not a matter of resolution (more accurately streaming bit rate), but the stream type.
I don't believe the BDA-1 can play WMA files or WMA streams.
iTunes can play WMA files (by converting them to AIFF first), but can't play WMA streams. On my PC, foobar and J. River Media Center can also play WMA files but can't play WMA streams. The only program that I have that will play a WMA stream is Windows Media Player.
The Marantz NA7004 specs say it can play WMA files, but it too probably can't play WMA streams.
