For Sale only (sorry no trades) is a nice pair of Aeon 3 bookshelf speakers in Excellent condition.
I bought them off Agon from a dealer (their customer had traded them in), and told I am the second owner.
The first picture you will see I copied from the Golden Ear website to make sure you know what they look like in an ideal state.
The rest of the photos are pics I have taken from different angles. Also, the grill cloths are Black, they are NOT Purple, as they sometimes look in the photos. I deliberately overexposed the pics, to show the buyer the texture of the speakers, so thats why some pics look purple. Again, they are black, NOT purple.
Ok, now that we got that out of the way, how do they sound? Extraordinary, given their large sound (but small footprint), lower frequency (the passive bass radiators will fill your Medium+ sized room), and sub-$1000 price point (new price). I used them in a second system in my 15x22 foot living room, and the bookshelves did not "sound small". That is part of their remarkable sound, I still felt surrounded by music, rather than a bookshelf that mostly spews music forward to the listener, but they dont envelop the listener like these bookshelves do. The Aeon 3s (bigger model) and Aeon 2s (smaller model) have won several awards. In the last pic that I uploaded, you can see some of the magazine articles, awards won, and praise for these speakers.
Oh, and these are 8 ohm speakers, so pretty easy to drive. And they come with hardware to wall-mount if you wish.
