Cheap "Class T" HIFI audio amp
« on: 22 Aug 2011, 03:34 pm »
Hey guys,

Came across this recently:
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=310-300

It seems very tempting (for the price) for a compact audio system, or car audio.

Definitely cheap and cheerful.

While I have a cheap Chinese amplifier (Scythe SDA-1100), sometimes too cheap is too cheap.  I'm not a fan of bent over askew low-temp electrolytic capacitors (85C) or spring-loaded speaker connections.

I was thinking about getting some speakers and an amp for my boneheaded brother for christmas. Seems like the ticket. I'll pair that with those $40 Dayton monitors, and he'll think I spent a fortune.

Definitely, way to go.  :)
No need to spend several bucks on a 2.0 speaker system.
