Not sure I really agree with Sonos's assertion. Most people who get an AV receiver want to run surround sound in more than two channels or want a single HDMI connection to the TV due to the placement of the TV. Sonos doesn't help with either one of those scenarios. :scratch:

While I have streaming capability (Squeezebox Touch and have not tried video yet but have the means to do it - Google set-top box and other devices), I do prefer a physical separate system (I have multiple systems).  It enables me to hear and see different perspectives from different equipment and sources.  I like the idea of streaming for source material but don't want a glorified HT in a box to listen to (no matter how many channels it has).  There are many choices for streaming and I think if anything the internet may have the most potential to replace physical media.  I still want my equipment to play it back though.
