Looking for "warm" in-ear headphones
« on: 22 Jul 2011, 09:18 pm »
I am looking for a pair of warm sounding in-ear phones to use with my iPhone. I just bought a pair of "Classic Woodies" and I find them very bright and irritating to listen to  :(

Would like to keep in the $75 or under range.

Suggestions?

Try the Brainwavs, they are known for having a "warm" sound...not bright.

But..i think you need Iems with a mic right?

The Brainwavz are on my list along with Klipsch S4 and possibly the Monster Turbine.

If you like bass the monster turbines are fine. Aren't they over your budget?

RE252 In-ear Earphones are quite good ... but they retail for $200 - but can be had for less ... and work great right out of ipod/phone or amped ... I had good experience with it ... I know it is out of your budget - but could give you a pointer ...

Westone 4 are really WARM - but they are for $400

Shure 425 are also nice and warm but for $250+

You may need to describe what you mean by warm - it can be had by treble roll off or by bass boost ... you may even want to consider using EQ in your iphone ... or perhaps you are looking for something else ...

Cheers

Klipsch 4i may be another contender, they are about $80 IIRC
