iTouch and audio analysis?

iTouch and audio analysis?

I wonder if anyone has added a microphone to an iTouch and used it for audiio analysis ... SPL meter, frequency analysis, etc?

I bought AudioTools for my iPad and use the built-in internal microphone.  It also works on the iPod Touch with a microphone input.  They have a real expensive one.
