No remote, I imagine?

Yes, it has a motorized ALPS attenuator. Another thing I really like is the volume knob has an LED so you can see from across the room where it is set.

Hmmm, reading that, it seems that with these passive-pre integrated amps, the common thread is that you really hear a 'direct' unadulterated sound, and you notice details of the signal (good and bad). What are your listening impressions with the Exposure?

I'll give you my brother's impressions. He has heard it in my system, which he is very familiar with, and in his own system. He said that the name is apt.

My impressions...  Very clean presentation, better than anything I have owned before. Top to bottom the sound is balanced with surprising heft in the bass. The only thing I could ask for is more power, it runs out of steam at extreme (read stupid) SPL's. This could also be the fault of the Marantz source, as it is what is driving the amp. I tend to listen at high volumes sometimes. At reasonable volumes, there is nothing more I could ask for. There is the add on 2010S amplifier made to daisy chain to the 2010S integrated, or the 3010S integrated if one needs another whole 3 dB of SPL.   :D

Haha, yes, 'Exposure' and 'Acurus', seem like apt names for these amps.

So your bro likes it loud, huh? Me too, much more so than my neighbors do.  :icon_twisted:

BTW, I have a Marantz CD/SACD/DVD player coming (got it on ebay cheap). As of now, I've only heard 16 bit/ 44.1Khz source material, interested to hear how high res changes things.

I'm the one that likes it loud.   :)   My new neighbor came over to complain when we met, then he asked to hear the system. He left wanting to buy my speakers and now he owns my old sub.   8)

You are going to love Hi Rez, and Marantz disc players tend to have nice warm, round sound. You just reminded me that my Steely Dan "Gaucho" DVD-A came in the mail today.
