I am considering a used Macbook pro for myself.
the ad says that it is a "late 2009" and has a new battery in it.
I have read up on how to check the battery life and cycle counts but my question is:
Does the cycle count reset to 0 when a new battery is installed

What I am trying to figure out even with a new MBP is where did they come up with 8hr battery life.
