“Ozzy is in touch with technology but he goes by what he hears, and his ears are amazing — he knows a great performance when he hears one,” says Frangioni

Ozz has excellent hearing....don't go by what you read in the press or see on TV....that character is not the same guy I have worked with numerous times over the years.

Hi,

I agree. With all my involvement at the studio level sitting in on movie/music sound track production, I have met many celebrities and rarely does their public persona match their private persona.

I work for EvilLive Nation, and get to meet many celebrities as well.
They all use the bathroom like we do. They are usually regular people that have an interesting job. Some exceptions occur, of course.

(mumbles something about U2's Bono, whose ego is so big it generates its own gravity)

I'd be glad to offer some insight.  All of these posts are referencing his previous studio "the MTV house".  They do not own that residence any longer.

I designed his current studio for David Frangioni (who is simply the best pro audio and residential integrator for this type client...anywhere).  it was completed in Spring '08 and has last release Scream was recorded and mixed there (*some work was done at Kevin Churko's personal room).

The power is all Equi=Tech in new room and monitoring is all Genelec (active).  I know the Bryston amp is still in his possession, but not used on daily basis.

I found Ozzy to be very together and on top of his craft.

He's nearly as deaf as a post. He knows what he likes though. I like his very early Sabbath records. Not so much for the sound quality as for the performances. Very original and compelling stuff. He's definitely a rock icon.

Cool! Thanks for the info.
