Not to be mean. I don't think this is the right type of thinking for purchasing speakers. The omens are excellent for the price even now. It offers the performance of the druid iv for a fraction of the price.
If you want to pay a fair used price - do so. But seeking some super special deal is not mature. Those that purchased them during the sale were taking on a risk by purchasing a speaker untested and with little information.

You might want to keep an eye on eBay for B-stock and returned speakers sold by Zu there. They usually include free shipping and their standard trial period. I think I have seen used Omens on Audiogon, but don't recall the prices that they were asking there.

where in the digitaldude's post did he indicate he was looking for some super special deal?  nowhere in his post did he indicate he didn't want to pay a fair used price.  am i missing something?     what is not right thinking here, for purchasing speakers?  digitaldude knows what he wants, and he would prefer to shop used - i see nothing immature or wrong-thinking about it, or about the fact that he knows what the intro pricing was.  your comment about it, on the other hand....

digitaldude, you may also wanna consider the tekton lore's.  i have been reading everything, with great interest, about the omens and the lores, and tho i admit i have heard neither, if i had to choose between the two based solely on what i have read, i would be choosing the lores.

Just because YOU don't think it is the right type of thinking doesn't mean it is NOT the right type of thinking.  Also, just because YOU think the Omens are excellent for their price doesn't mean the Omens are excellent for their price.  Do you see where I am going with this?

I did purchase the Lores and I love them.  I truly enjoy the music these speakers make.
