I need some recommendations for dark angst filled grunge type songs about pain.  I know someone who has chronic pain and having music to relate to brings a little comfort.  Songs kinda like send the pain below, chevelle, i will follow you into the dark by death cab for cutie, outside by staind, my immortal by evanescence...thanks in advance...

Oh, and 'Send the Pain Below' is an incredible track.  Some serious issues being vented in that one and the amount of impact that such a small band creates is stunning.  One of my favorite hard rock tracks.  And they're a Christian band...

Aimee Mann's "This Is How It Goes" from Lost In Space album CD

It is about a destructive lifestyle and lost opportunity. The chorus melody is so beautiful and powerful. I used to jam with her brother drummer up in Boston in the 80s. I never thought much of her then, but she can really write, and her voice is beautiful, unique and mature style. I connect strongly to this song, don't know why.
