Beautiful build indeed!

Question, how do the dowels help eliminate issues with expansion?  Are the dowells the only points that are glued connecting the boards to each other?

Thanks,
Ed

Although these weren't the right speakers for me, Richard was extremely helpful and understanding.  This is an awesome deal and the seller is a righteous person

Hey Everyone!

Thank you for the really nice comments. Its just my way of approaching things. The amps I'm building are no different but at the beginning of their odyssey.

I've received three replies from some of you on this forum. One found that extra wires and plates amps didn't provide the simplicity or invisibility he needed. Another is waiting to sell some speakers, and a third just plain disappeared.

Danny has done a world class job in designing these speakers and crossovers and I attempted to interpret what he shared to the best of my abilities. I've been building cabinets for 40 years so do have some practice.

I swear, however, if I ever build anything like this again, I should have my head examined. Its simply much too much work (unless of course I intended on keeping them).

Nice speakers.

Question, how do the dowels help eliminate issues with expansion?  Are the dowells the only points that are glued connecting the boards to each other?

I was thinking that myself.  Certainly  saying that  by using dowels the op has "perfected a method of joinery" is a bit of hyperbole.  Many joinery methods would allow  " them to expand and contract with the weather and seasonal conditions                             " if the wood grain is running in the right direction...
