LS 36.5 vs 36.5 DM Noise

LS 36.5 vs 36.5 DM Noise

I currently have the LS 36.5 single-box preamp, which is quite quiet. Should I expect more noise from the 2-box preamp - either mechanical noise from the preamp itself or noise through the speakers?

Sorry for the very tardy reply.  The answer is that the two-box will be as quiet or quieter, given that the transformers are in a separate enclosure.
