experience with different ONEAC models?
« on: 5 Apr 2004, 02:52 am »
I have a ONEAC CP1105 right now.  It's a 4.6 amp unit which i picked up for about 30 bucks from a friend.  He said he didn't notice any real sonic changes in his system so he used it just for surge protection.

I spoke with him just recently and he told me that he purchased a CB1115 model and this time he definitely noticed a change that he liked, to the point that he won't listen to his system without it now.

In my system, the CP1105 makes a difference.  It focuses the imaging and seems to give things a little more body.  I notice this blind.  So does my girlfriend.  I switched and switched the power source on her from the ONEAC to the wall and she got it spot on each time.

My question is this:  Is there a difference, other than how much power is output between the CP and CB models?  Did my friend hear a real difference in the quality of power that his new model puts out or is it other factors (psychological, quality of power at the time he tested, etc) that can account for the big improvement he noticed in going to the CB1115?
